The key measurements you need to supply are:
1) Chest at the fullest part (a man's suit-coat size) 2) Total height wearing the shoes you would wear in the robe. Ladies, please wear your shoes with the heel height you normally wear when you take your height measurement. 3) Sleeve measurement (corresponds to a man's shirt- sleeve size)
Choir robes will fit standard
adult arm lengths. Please see the diagram (left) as a reference. The arm must be bent and held at shoulder height in front of the chest. The measurement must be taken with a flexible tape. Start at the center of the back of the neck and go over the shoulder, around the back of the elbow to the wrist. 4) Floor clearance- (how long the hem should be from the floor). Use a ruler, stand with the appropriate shoes and measure the number of inches from the floor to where you want the bottom of the hem to stop. Anywhere from 4 -8 inches is fine, it's strictly your personal preference. All robes for a single choir are made with the same floor clearance. 5) Neck measurement is needed for styles with standing collars.
